Stacia Dunn is an associate at Muter Law Office, LLC. Her practice focuses on criminal and family law matters. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2004 with a degree in Finance. Before going to law school, Stacia used her finance degree to operate a successful franchise and rental properties. During law school she was a board member of the Marquette Family Law Society and volunteered at Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic. Her most rewarding moment in law school was being inducted into Marquette's Pro Bono Honor Society for her donated time in providing legal services to the clinic.
Prior to joining Muter Law Office, LLC, Stacia was a prosecutor in the Dane County District Attorney's Office. She prosecuted and investigated hundreds of felony and misdemeanor criminal cases, including domestic offenses, OWI, possession of a controlled substance, theft, etc. She was constantly in the courtroom participating in jury trials, preliminary hearings and motion hearings. She has a unique perspective on how prosecutors think and strategize. As a result, she is able to get results even on tough cases.
Stacia was able to obtain her Guardian ad Litem certificate during her time at Marquette Law School. Her training along with her work with Marquette's Family Law Society and Volunteer Clinic has provided Stacia with the knowledge to successfully represent individuals in family law matters. In addition, her courtroom and trial experience only add to her abilities in obtaining the best results for her clients.
Stacia has lived in Southern Wisconsin all her life. She enjoys staying active by spending time outdoors, running and spending time with her son.
